Helping audiences achieve greater personal growth, happiness and workplace satisfaction by taking a fresh look at life-lessons learned from fairy tales that lead to a positive work culture.

As an expert in using fairy tales to promote personal growth, happiness and workplace satisfaction, Ellen will explore the many ways fairy tales permeate and influence our culture, and their deeper meanings for businesses and professional groups. Audiences will learn to view fairy tales in an entirely new way ― to see how their truths and inspiring life lessons can be applied to create a positive work culture.

As a child, Roth was enchanted by fairy tales and spent countless hours reading and dreaming. Her creative impulses inspired her to major in art and art history at Goucher College where she received her BA. After getting an MFA from Syracuse University, Roth moved to Pittsburgh, PA where she worked as a registered art therapist. Subsequently, she earned her PhD from the University of Pittsburgh. In 1991, Roth co-founded Getting to the Point, Inc., a premier relocation consulting firm.

During her career, Roth has received many awards and was named one of the Best 50 Women in Business in Pennsylvania, honored as a Woman of Distinction by Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania, and is a recipient of the YWCA Tribute to Women Leadership Award in the category of Entrepreneur.

After 25 years as a successful businesswoman and entrepreneur, Roth transitioned to writing fantasy fiction. Her love of fairy tales inspired her to write one for grown-ups – Ten Fingers Touching. This multilayered romantic escape transports adults to an imaginary world with the same pleasure they experienced in reading fairy tales as youths. Her award winning book won first place for Fantasy Fiction at the TAZ awards. It received the Benjamin Franklin Digital Silver Award for exceptional content, design and use of technology. It was also named the Travel Size Good Read of the Month by the Fairytale Traveler.

Ellen is currently working with professionals in the Hollywood entertainment industry, who are pitching the screenplay adaptation of Ten Fingers Touching, with the goal of turning it into a film.

An accomplished presenter, Roth's speaking engagements feature the same unique perspectives and infectious enthusiasm that drive her success as an entrepreneur.

She shares her life with her husband, Dr. Loren Roth, and her children.
