 Eric Draper served as Special Assistant to the President and Chief White House Photographer for President George W. Bush for eight years. Draper documented the 43rd president during the most dramatic years in recent history, from the 9/11 attacks to the worldwide economic crisis of 2008. He was by his side, traveling to more than 70 countries with President Bush, recording every event from the momentous to the intimate.

Prior to joining the White House, Draper was globe trotting staff photographer for the Associated Press. His many assignments included US presidential campaigns, natural disasters abroad, international sporting events such as the the Summer and Winter Olympic games, World Cup Soccer, the Los Angeles riots, civil unrest in Haiti, the war in Kosovo and the OJ Sipmson murder case and trial.

He is the author of Front Row Seat: A Photographic Portrait of the Presidency of George W. Bush published by University of Texas Press.

Today Draper is a freelance corporate photographer with several Fortune 500 companies on his client list.
