Robert Maxfield
Taking It To The Max
Robert is a visionary, a man of adventure, a man of enthusiasm for life. He has a highly perceptive intuition and a penchant for logical interpretation. He is an investigator and creator of ideas. In all things, Robert has a voice, a God given voice that begs to teach, motivate and entertain the world.
Friend and co-worker, Tony Whitmore, has described him as quote, “…an idea man. There are few people who can envision things the way Robert can. He has the ability to turn passive listeners into enthusiastic participants.”
He is from the town where the Pony Express began and Jesse James ended, St. Joseph, MO. The son of a Veterinarian and Interior Designer, Robert grew up playing sports, notably basketball and golf. He delivered his first public speech at 17, and went on to win city and district speech competitions. He made his first films at the age 18.
He received his Economics degree from the University of Missouri in 1981. He minored in Spanish Conversation, Language, History and Psychology. While there he also excelled at Speech and Presentation. He was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity where he served as Activities Chairman, Little Sister Rush Chairman, and Social Chairman.
After college he entered Broadcasting as a Writer, Producer and On-Air Personality at KKJO/KSFT, St. Joseph, MO, and later WAEV, Savannah, GA. After that he was a Promotion Producer/Director/Writer at WSAV TV3, Savannah, and at WTLV TV12, Jacksonville, FL where he won several awards for his Producing, Directing and Writing. At both stations he was also an Actor, Voiceover Talent, and Editor.
Creative Services Director, James Strader, has described him as quote, “…an excellent writer and producer, displaying both originality and strong leadership skills on all of his projects. He is driven and determined to succeed, not only in accomplishing the assignment, but in delivering a compelling and effective product”
Eventually, Robert went off to Hollywood to pursue Filmmaking. Over the twenty-two years he wrote screenplays, directed videos, and recorded dialog for commercials, TV shows, and feature films. He has worked on some of Hollywood’s biggest movies, including Four Christmases, Rush Hour III, Mission Impossible III, Twister, and National Treasure II. He has also worked with some of the biggest stars, like Tom Cruise, Robert Duvall, Arnold Schwarzeneggar, Jody Foster, Jack Nicholson, John Voight, Reese Witherspoon and Johnny Depp.
He also spent several years selling, teaching, and managing money in Real Estate and at Edward Jones Investments. While at Edward Jones he produced a video that motivated and entertained fellow agents to improve their selling skills.
Robert has used his motivational and speaking skills to raise funds for his church, and for his civic Rotary club. He also wrote and produced several videos to facilitate the fund raising process. Through his church, Robert lead a large group of volunteers through a Mission to Mexico, where they built homes for poor and disadvantaged families. On the second trip he videotaped and produced a forty-five minute Travelogue/Documentary about the volunteers on the Mission. He also lead a small group of church members through an evangelical course entitled, Alpha.
He has extensive training in Personal Growth, Managing Accelerated Performance (MAP), Sales Techniques, Screenplay Writing, Acting, Comedy Performance, and Professional Speaking with the Dale Carnegie Leadership Course where he earned more awards than any student in his class.
And lastly, his friend and co-worker, Robert Wald, has described him as quote, “…a rare commodity in this age of intellectual copycats. He offers a delightful and original cocktail of talents to every table he graces…an endless stream of ideas, really good ones, and the enviable ability to share them so passionately with all who hunger for great success in business…and in life.”
That’s Max.
