Ross is the CEO of Fishman Marketing, Inc., helping law and professional-services firms in strategic marketing planning, branding, web sites, and advertising.  Known for his "educational and entertaining" presentation style, he has conducted more than 300 firm retreats and training programs on six continents, from Tobago to Thailand -- including once presenting on three continents within 24 hours. Many of his most-popular marketing presentations have earned MCLE credit under the coveted "Ethics" category.

Ross was a commercial litigator from 1985-90 before moving to 500-attorney Winston & Strawn to practice marketing full-time.  He later became Marketing Partner of Ungaretti & Harris where they launched the profession's first Written Service Guarantee.

Called "the creative mind behind a host of law firm campaigns that have redefined the field" (San Jose Business Journal), and "one of the country's leading experts on law firm marketing" (Lawyers Weekly USA), Fishman Marketing has launched campaigns for over 200 law firms, associations, and other organizations and has worked with many of the world's largest firms and global networks.

FM campaigns have received the 3,500-member LMA's grand prize, the optional Best of Show award five of the ten times it has ever been presented, and one of Inc. magazine's ten Marketing Masters awards for "brilliant and successful" marketing campaigns.  Recipient of a peer-selected LMA 1998 Lifetime Achievement Award, Ross was the first marketer inducted into the LMA's Hall of Fame.  In 2007, a grateful client had the Governor commission Ross as a Kentucky Colonel, where he earned a Medal of Distinction for "assisting those who are most in need."
