Named one of Ad Age magazine’s “Marketing Top 100,” David A. Fields directs the Ascendant Consortium, a group of elite, independent business consultancies whose clients span most of the Fortune 500. He is also the managing director of one of the 15 member companies in the consortium: Ascendant Consulting, LLC, which specializes in designing and implementing corporate growth strategies.

Prior to co-founding Ascendant Consulting in 2005, David spent close to 20 years in a variety of sales and marketing leadership roles, including nine years in Brand Management, Sales and Market Research at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK). There he led GI and Oral Care franchises, pioneered their Trade Marketing efforts, led retail Sales efforts in both the Eastern and Western parts of the U.S., and developed cutting-edge analytical tools for understanding how and why customers buy.
