Evelyn Resh
Evelyn Resh CNM, MPH has been in practice as a certified nurse-midwife for over 15 years. She is also a certified sexuality counselor with The American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists.
Evelyn holds a Master of Public Health degree and undergraduate degrees in nursing, psychology and medical anthropology. She practices integrative midwifery and gynecology with women of all ages and lectures frequently throughout the nation to professional and lay audiences on the topics of women’s health and sexual satisfaction. She is especially known for her warm, lively and good-humored approach to her subject matter and her ability to make others feel comfortable with often hard-to-discuss topics.
Ms. Resh is currently the Director of Sexual Health Services and Programming for Canyon Ranch Health Resorts. In her role as director, she creates and implements programming focusing on the integration of sensuality into daily living as well as the improvement of sexual satisfaction for individuals and couples of all sexual orientations.
Her first book is scheduled for release in Spring of 2009, through Hay House Publishers and will be focused on the topic of raising sexually healthy and responsible teenager girls.
Ms. Resh lives in western Massachusetts with her family where she also maintains a small private practice as a sexuality counselor.

Intimate relationships are complex for many of us. Sustained sexual interest and healthy sexual engagement invariably includes problems associated with power, control, interest in sex and the achievement of sexual satisfaction. This lecture explores the relationship between emotional well-being and sustained interest in sexual intimacy and relational harmony. The impact of decreased emotional well-being on eroticism and libidinal energy are explored and their manifestations in intimate relationships are examined. This lecture is appropriate for all audiences - coupled and single people and individuals with varied sexual preferences and gender identities.

The onset of sexual interest among teen girls is a worry for most any parent, grandparent and/or those who relate to teenage girls in any setting. What’s necessary for girls to develop healthy sexual relationships and a strong sexual identity that allows for sexual satisfaction throughout life? This lecture is candid in its approach to the importance of comprehensive sexuality education and mentoring for teen girls. It emphasizes the value of separating values about having sex from facts about sexual health and safety. Content for this lecture is derived from Ms. Resh’s experience as a certified nurse-midwife who has cared for teen girls and women of all ages for over 20 years as well as her personal experience as the mother of a teenage daughter.
