Tom Cheatham

KS, US
A winner in tough situations, a difference maker for business and personal challenges.

Winning with the underdog has become a lifelong habit for Tom Cheatham.  The youngest of 4 boys, Tom was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 6, now diabetic for almost 45 years, Tom is one of a few who have lived with diabetes in 5 decades.  It became a way for Tom to learn at an early age to overcome obstacles.  The Oklahoma City native attended Kansas State University, graduated in 4 years with a BS in Radio & TV while playing baseball for the Wildcats.

Tom takes the underdog and builds them into a force with which to be reckoned…  The Oklahoma State University Basketball and Football Network in 1981, the Kansas Chiefs Radio Network 1986-1989, and the Kansas City Royals Radio Network from 1993 through the 1997 season.  Neither the NFL nor the Chiefs were the winners as we know them today.  Tom changed the Chiefs Radio Network from losing a million dollars a year to a break-even point, with a losing franchise.  During some of the most difficult times for the Royals Baseball Club Tom turned a profit each year with the Royals Radio Network, only one of four in baseball to accomplish such a feat.

Not being on top creates great opportunity for those with the imagination and direction to overcome obstacles.  Every situation has positives, you simply have to capitalize on them.  Tom will share his experiences and ideas on how you can win with the underdog.
