Tim Walkoe
Tim Walkoe is one of the most sought after comedians and corporate humorists working today. A Grand Prize Winner on ABC TV’s “ America’s Funniest People”, he has appeared on over 500 television and radio shows, headlined almost every comedy venue in America, and performed for some of the top corporations in the world, including Sony, Honda, Sears, Whirlpool, AT&T. American Express and Motorola.
Tim began his entertainment career as a bass player, songwriter and singer recording numerous albums and CDs in Chicago and Los Angeles. He has appeared in concert with Joe Cocker, Whitney Houston, The Beach Boys, Elvis Costello and Kenny Loggins.
In the 1980’s he turned his attention to comedy and began doing satirical humor pieces for NPR’s award winning news show “All Things Considered “. He wrote, produced and starred in two short films for HBO and Showtime and then became a leading headliner on the national comedy club circuit. This work lead to numerous appearances in Las Vegas and Atlantic City where he performs regularly.
In 2001 Walkoe landed a features role on the Fox TV series “Murder In Small Town X”, as Mayor Emerson Bowden.
Most recently Tim has emerged as a popular corporate speaker performing as the main entertainer, Master Of Ceremonies, or coming out as a “Fake Expert”, leading the audience to believe he is an outrageous authority on any social, political or business topic before slipping into complete comedy. He also lectures on the value of humor as a means of reducing stress in our daily lives.
Walkoe has recently released a CD, “A Stand Up Guy” and his new book, “Semi Dynamics”, a parody of motivational speakers, was co-written by Nate Herman formerly of “Saturday Night Live”.
