Dr. Dennis Wilson
PhD, MBA
ON, CANADADr. Dennis Wilson, PhD, MBA
Dr. Wilson holds an MBA in Management Science and Information systems, with more than twenty years of experience in database design and development, application design and development, and systems conversion. Many of the projects he has led resulted in not only huge productivity increases, but also led to improvements in quality at the same time.
Dr. Wilson's PhD is in Organization and Management, and his doctoral dissertation involved the comparison of the Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument (HBDI (TM)) and the Extended DISC® behaviour profile tool. This study provided not only a comparison between the HBDI and Extended DISC, but also a comparative perspective on thinking and behaviour as they relate to the work environment. His research at the Doctoral level is supported by an undergraduate degree in psychology.
Dr. Wilson thoroughly enjoys being able to blend his knowledge of psychometric assessment, training, and motivation with his data and application expertise, leading to a better quality of match between people, task, and organizational structure. This provides an increase in operational efficiency and improved quality.
Both his work experience and his academic knowledge lead Dr. Wilson to believe that the next major step in organizational efficiency, as well as significant competitive advantage, will come in the area of Organizational Structure and Human Resource Management (Human Capital Management). This he believes will be facilitated by further innovative uses of systems technology. Dr Wilson is happy to be able to share his views on Human Capital Management, including his understandings of personality, thinking, behaviour, motivation, and decision making, and outline the significance of these elements in the business environment.
