Your eSpeakers booking calendar is the center of your business. For a professional speaker, trainer or coach, your calendar is your inventory and it should be accurate all the time.
Your eSpeakers calendar should have every date that affects your willingness to take an engagement on a particular day:
  1. Holds
  2. Confirmed Events
  3. Personal "blackout" days (vacations, family events, etc)
You should never need to double-enter your speaking calendar. Enter it first into the eSpeakers calendar, and it can sync out to all the other places you need to see it: Google calendar, phone calendar, Outlook, Mac calendar, etc. You can learn about the iCalendar feed .

Create a New Event for an Engagement

Each engagement is a separate "event" on your eSpeakers booking calendar. To create an event:
  1. new event menu
    Log in to EventCX »
  2. Choose MY EVENTS from the main menu and click NEW EVENT or
Click the date number on the MONTH or YEAR calendar and choose NEW EVENT from the popup menu
  3. Fill out the new event form, including:
    1. PRESENTING TO (name of the group you're speaking to - will act as event title)
    2. STATUS ( hold, confirmed, etc » )
    3. START DATE (don't include travel days; those are entered separately on the TRAVEL tab)
If you don't know the date yet, check the box labeled NO DATE YET
    4. month view create new
      END DATE
    5. (optional) location, including CITY, STATE & COUNTRY
    6. (optional) primary contact, including NAME, PHONE and EMAIL
    7. (optional) which ACTION LIST to use for this event
    8. (optional) which BUREAU this event came through (use "none-direct" if it did not come through a bureau), along with any BUREAU NOTES you want to make
  4. Click the CREATE EVENT button to commit your changes to the calendar
BONUS: Eliminate double entry: your EventCX events can sync to flow out to your daily calendar applications like Outlook, Google Calendar, Mac Calendar, and more. Learn how to do it »

Create a New Event for a Personal "Blackout" Day

Any vacation, family event, etc. that would prevent you from taking an engagement on that day should be added to your booking calendar as a personal "blackout" event. Many speakers will put vacations on the calendar as "held" if they'd be willing to forgo it for a paid engagement, and "confirmed" if they would turn down offer on that date.
  1. Create an event as described above
  2. Before using the CREATE EVENT button to finish, check ON the box labeled PERSONAL / BLACKOUT
