Jeff Gerber
Are you looking to build relationships and connect people? Jeff's positive and practical messages on leadership, love, and belonging will build connections and a positive culture.
Jeff is an entertaining and engaging speaker with experience presenting at international, national, and regional conferences. Focusing on relationships and serving others out of love are keys to connecting people and building positive culture. Jeff is passionate about servant leadership and the incredible difference that fostering and valuing relationships can make to every community.
An experienced and decorated educator, for his dedication to empowering youth Jeff was named Ontario Student Council Advisor of the Year at the Ontario Student Leadership Conference. He was also recognized by the Canadian Student Leadership Association as a "National Leader of Distinction." This proven expertise and experience shines through in all his presentations.
Jeff has a natural way of connecting with people and moving them to action. He was a leader on his high school campus, active in Student Council, won a bronze medal at the Canadian National High School Debating Championships, and was voted by his peers to be Valedictorian of their graduating class.
At the University of Western Ontario he remained active in public speaking, being recognized as an Outstanding Delegate to the prestigious Harvard National Model UN and broadcasting on campus radio. He also played Mustangs Football, earning a varsity athletic letter.
As an educator, Jeff was blessed to serve at his alma mater Waterloo-Oxford DSS. Here as the Student Activities Council Advisor and Leadership Teacher he led one of the largest and most impactful leadership programs in the province of Ontario. The school's inclusive programs to welcome new students were a model for the region. Their school-wide Relay for Life fundraising events for the Canadian Cancer Society raised over $640,000. He further gave his time coaching several varsity school sports teams, leading teams to league championships in two different sports, and directing two school musicals. While an active educator, Jeff was recognized as the Student Council Advisor of the Year for the Province of Ontario and as a National Leader of Distinction by the Canadian Student Leadership Association.
Jeff and his wife Julie and their three children (twin daughters Brookelynn and Katherine and son Jackson) live outside Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario where they are active leaders and volunteers in their schools and community. Jeff has served on numerous local boards, and has coached numerous local travel teams in baseball and hockey. For his efforts and expertise in guiding young people, and their parents, he was recognized as Rep Hockey Coach of the Year for the local
New Hamburg Hockey Association.
Jeff is a genuine motivator, always striving to learn more and do more. He is excited to meet you and work alongside you to better your school, association, conference, or corporate community.
