Jeff, I write in my journal each morning. Today as I wrote and reflected on the speaker class, I wrote, “Jeff is a light at the right time.” The speaker class is amazing! I am using my notes from my memoir to help jog my memory of tales to tell each week. I think the writing along with the speaker class is providing me a deeper journey for my uncovering information about my formative years and the influence of those experiences. I am so very blessed; your leadership keeps me encouraged…thank you for all the nougats of regular encouragement. I do want to feel I am processing something relevant to share both for the benefit of others and my continued personal growth! Thanks again for your vision and energy to make this powerful growth opportunity happen!

Jeff, your Speaker’s Club class has deeply humbled me. I have found a confidence with my voice, and my story, that I never thought was possible. This was the first step and the nudge I needed to get out of my comfort zone and begin to take action towards the life I want to create for myself. I know that in the near future I will secure my first public speaking gig and I’ll have the opportunity to make a true difference in someone’s life because of it. I thank you for your kindness, your genuine care, and your support - I am a better person for it.

Brought Jeff Willie to speak at our annual in-service day to nearly 500 employees. Few people can energize a group of that size and average age of 58 years old! Jeff put energy into the crowd and not only gave them things to think about, but hope for their future. Those 500 employees will go forward and impact the lives of nearly 20,000 student bus riders this Monday morning! We are off to a great start for the school year ahead and thrilled to have chosen him for this annual day long training event we hold. Highly recommended for your event!

The Great Man Theory professes the idea that people are born with leadership skills. But not all people are born that way and Jeff Willie helps to ignite and develop the great man within. When it comes to leadership, coaching, and developing he can help make it happen. He enabled, coached, and provided me with the tools to broaden my leadership skills. I met Professor Willie through a Leadership class he was teaching via Zoom. I was so impressed with his presentation, knowledge, and professionalism, yet he was so down to earth. Professor Jeff is sharp, quick, he don't sweat the small stuff, he really know how to lead. It is one thing to know but it is something when you can practice what you preach. I thoroughly enjoy and look forward to our meeting times.

Dear Professor Jeff, I am very thankful for the blessing to have you as my leadership coach. You help me to gain new perspective in my leadership development and improve in my work relationships. Last time, after I shared some of the challenges I was facing in my work, you helped me find the words to put things in context and asked questions that led me to reconsider my approach and find strategies to adapt to the context of my situation in a more knowledgeable way. This conversation made me see another area of growth that I needed to work on: communication. I started reading one of the two books you recommended me ("Everyone communicates, few connect' of John C Maxwell) and it's been helpful. Before I start I must pay homage to Mr. Jeff Willie for his service to the United States of America. I have been honored to get to know Mr. Willie through his help and contributions to my book, "The Re-Education of the African American Child in Today's School System". When I reached out to Mr. Willie and asked if he would take a moment to support my book by giving me his input. I could not guarantee him that I would use whatever comments that he may submit. Firstly, let me say just how much I appreciate your being our commencement speaker this year. I have sat through many a commencement speeches for dozens and dozens of other schools (including my own graduations), couldn't tell you what any of them were even slightly about... but yours is one I'll be able to quote for years: "You are not a mistake. You are meant to be here. You are a gift." Your understanding of what our students, and our families, need to hear, over and over, until they believe it, and then a few times more for the times they forget, was delivered in speech-perfection.
