"Eat a toad in the morning and nothing worse will happen to you the rest of the day". DJ Watson is a Professional Speaker and Business Owner with a mission: To help us find the "toads" taking over our lives causing stress, guilt and overwhelm. As a speaker, she shares ready-to-use tips in her lively talks that can be applied immediately and enable audiences to take back control, get organized and still maintain sanity. As a business owner she provides time and sanity saving options to busy professionals via www.VirtualMVP her marketing assistance firm and Virtual Assistant consortium for solo-entrepreneurs. VirtualMVP is your Virtual Marketing Vice President - and the Most Valuable Player (MVP) on your team! DJ is no stranger to unusual work environments, the virtual work concept, office chaos and project management on a shoestring. She founded the parent company s'organized (pronounced "so organized") Professional Business Operations in 1994, after spending 10 years overseas as a senior Executive for the USO Europe and Middle East. During her tenure, she deployed to Desert Storm and Somalia managing recreation programs and USO Celebrity shows in support of our troops and coordinated field operations in 8-countries - starting a tradition of long-distance support for her clients. DJ is the author of "TeleTips" and "30 Days to Getting Organized" and the soon-to-be released ebook: "Working Without Staff". She has appeared on television programs around the country and is regularly featured in magazine and newspaper articles. Some of my favorite past "projects" include: o Producing a Bob Hope USO show in Bahrain during Operation Desert Storm - "now where can we find a keyboard in the desert?" (We did!) o Editing and revising best-selling books such as Kiplinger's Taming the Paper Tiger At Home, by Barbara Hemphill (6th Edition) o Coordinating logistics at the Maui Writer's Conference - "can 1200 accomplished and aspiring writers boogie the night away accompanied by Dave Barry's band and still get work done the next day?" (Yes they can.) o Living out of a duffle bag in an abandoned hangar in Somalia and learning how to drive a forklift so that we could supply the Marines with ice-cold water. (If you want to know why I was driving and how we cooled the water - ask me - it's a great story about flexibility and innovation.) o Managing a six week trip through Europe with a 15-month old, a husband, one suitcase, a stroller, a baby cot, a car seat "why ARE European rental cars so tiny?" o Planning and orchestrating my wedding on the Aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln in 1993 - "Honeymoon in Jebel Ali!" o Directing overseas operations for the USO with over 26 offices and 1000+ staff in 16 locations - "I must check on the French Riviera Operations - back in a week or so!" o Coordinating recreation and entertainment services for troops deployed in Operation Desert Storm and Somalia - "there is NO more rewarding and honorable job!"
