Gena Yuvette Davis, PsyD, MBA, CCP, BCC is an organizational psychologist and executive coach, specializing in corporate behavior and culture change. As the founder and CEO of True Synergy, Inc., a professional and organizational development consultancy, Dr. Gena leads a remote team that is authentically committed to empowering and inspiring others to be their best selves. True Synergy, celebrating its 10-year anniversary, is a trusted business advisor and solutions provider for mostly high-growth, private equity and venture-backed companies that wish to turn their organizations into diverse, collaborative, inclusive, and thriving workplaces.
As a corporate behavior and transformation expert, Dr. Gena specializes in the area of the self and uses a variety of methodologies, principles, philosophies, practices, and tools from the applied behavioral and social sciences to support the growth and development of executive leaders and their teams. Dr. Gena's corporate background includes 18 years as a marketing communications executive and consultant leading strategic marketing, public relations, advertising, and branding programs for the entertainment and retail shopping center industries. Dr. Gena held roles at Sony Pictures Entertainment, Fox Entertainment Group, and The Walt Disney Company.
Dr. Gena founded a marketing communication agency and was the managing director for seven years. The firm worked on a variety of media, social and internal campaigns for such clients as UHP Healthcare, Los Angeles World Airports, Coca-Cola, Warner Bros., and HBO. She also produced an awarding-winning fashion magazine show called, "Simply Vogue" that aired on local cable television for two years.
As a keynote speaker and workshop presenter, Dr. Gena speaks to audiences globally via online or onsite and shares her message that is rich with practical tips, strategies, tools, and motivating advice attendees can start implementing that day.
Dr. Gena is a graduate of the University of Southern California, with a BA in Communication Arts & Sciences, an MBA in Marketing from the University of Phoenix, and a PsyD in Organization
Development from the California School for Professional Psychology (CSPP) at Alliant International University, Fresno.
Dr. Gena is also a board-certified coach (BCC) and received her certification from the Center for Credentialing and Education. She received her coaching training and certification from the Certified Coach Federation (CCF). She is a certified Everything DiSC® trainer and is certified in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). Dr. Gena also has a certificate in Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Monica (USM).
