Ellen Schwartz
Ellen Schwartz was filled with optimism as she expected the birth of her first child.
But about six months after Jacob was born, she feared something was wrong, as he seemed strangely withdrawn and unresponsive. Schwartz was devastated when doctors confirmed the worst - Jacob had an incurable disease and was unlikely to see his eleventh birthday.
But soon, Schwartz began to see that her disabled son had much more to offer than the doctors expected. She saw how he lived life to the fullest each day and taught her what courage is all about.
Audiences will be moved and inspired by Schwartz' unwavering belief in her son's abilities, her steadfast commitment to education and research into neurodegenerative diseases, and her heartfelt desire to help others cope with life's toughest challenges.
She tells her story with bravery and honesty, including the highs and lows, the hopes and disappointments. Schwartz recounts a heartbreaking and exhilarating portrait by a mother of her severely disabled son how Jacob taught and continues to teach her and everyone around him what it means to live each day to the fullest.
Client Testimonials:
