Dr. Jackson received her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in Political Science from Fayetteville State University. She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with her Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration and a concentration in Social Welfare Policy. Dr. Jackson also graduated from UDC Law and is the current Legislative Director in the District of Columbia. 

Additionally, Dr. Jackson is the owner of SEADS2Grow (Support, Education, Awareness, Development, Systems). SEADS2Grow is a life-coaching and consultation firm; assisting individuals to reach their goals and dreams by using the U-Centric Model, which is tailored to the individual client. She is also the Executive Director of NuPath Children Services a licensed child-placing agency.

As a leader who has been very successful in her field for over 15 years Dr. Jackson attributes an elevation in her career when she joined the American Business Women's Association (ABWA). ABWA's passion for helping women aligns with Dr. Jackson. Dr. Jackson seeks to empower others to reach their goals.

Dr. Jackson is involved in several civic and fraternal organizations. Dr. Jackson is the 2016-2018 Student National Vice President for the National Lawyers Guild. Lieutenant Governor for Professional Development for the 11th Circuit ABA Student Division. She is also a national officer for the IBPOE of W Daughter of Elks. Dr. Jackson has served as a local political party committee chair, the 2013-2014 District IV Vice President, and Stephen M. Bufton Trustee for the American Business Women's Association and is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and the Order of Eastern Stars, PHA.
